As a director, I bring stories to life through visual storytelling. My goal is to create compelling narratives that resonate with minority audiences, speak to prevalent issues in our world, and provoke thought.

Serving as one of two assistant directors to Robin Larson for Lobby Theatre's production of Dance Nation at AGBO Studio in Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to contribute to the storytelling of young dancers navigating the raw and painfully tumultuous waves of girlhood. Bloody, competitive, and powerful, Dance Nation allowed our creative team to address the growing pains of young women who were told to suppress their power and talent. Through marketing, house management, and script editing, my role as assistant director aided in bringing this elevated reading to AGBO Studio's stage. Images of the project provided below!
I had always wondered what happened to Wendy Darling from J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan. In Kimberly Belflower's poetic version of her story, Wendy waited and waited with hurting heart. Through dramaturgical research, production assistant work on site for filming, and detailed blocking notation as the Assistant Director in completion of my Senior Directing Thesis, I contributed to a whimsical form of storytelling that touches the tender heartbreak of first love. To all those who felt like a Wendy, struggling to move on from the beauty of their childhood, bringing this project to life awakened a motivation to move forward.

A showcase of monologue performances, this project is a celebration of new theatre artists stepping into Pepperdine University's theatre department their first year of undergraduate study. Alongside three other directors, our major had a united vision to make a tradition for both directing students and first years, creating an opportunity for performance and design. Keeping the tradition going into our second annual First Year Showcase, this student-led project allowed us to independently exercise our developing craft by working and communicating with student designers and actors, as well as engaging with social media marketing. This year, the 2025 First Year Showcase took its audience to an art museum! Images of the project provided below!
no one is coming to save us was a world premiere work by Lewis Hetherington at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the summer of 2024. Capturing grief, political strife, and the weight of climate change on the backs of young generations, this project allowed me to deepen my skills as an assistant director. In working with the playwright as the play was actively being written, research of climate change and activism within the UK, and engaging with organizations in Scotland that are combatting this global threat, allowed us to reach young audiences, empowering them to ignite change and bring awareness to the cost of our carbon footprint.
As the assistant director for Shakespeare's The Tempest, I had the opportunity to engage with detailed language study and period research. It aided in providing notes as well as engaging with the physical language of the piece. Getting to interact with movement coordinators and choreographers for this production contextualized the physical world of this beautiful show for me and allowed our whole company to reach audiences through spectacle of abstract movement. Americana: A Murder Ballad was a world premiere work by Morna Young at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the summer of 2022. Through properties design, I aided in building the imagery of the dangerous cycle of American gun violence for UK audiences. The props design of this show brought the graphic nature of this issue to an abroad stage, challenging perceptions of American culture. The props design of this show aided in the visceral imagery of this issue, and yet no physical gun was used. Images of the project provided below!
